Everything we know about money comes from our family, college and university. If you don't study any career related to the economy your financial education ends up in college, and that's the biggest mistake of all.
Where do we think the bills come from? In Argentina (for example), the monetary issue is like a bakery at dawn baking hot bread, and it doesn't matter when you read this in this country people live with inflation and this is the main reason. To issue money they have the Annual Budget Law that is presented in September of each year, it must be approved by both chambers and be ready in December to start the following year. This year we do not have an Annual Budget Law and the monetary issue is the highest in the last 30 years.
Actually, the money comes from the generation of work, if you are a baker, you make bread and sell it: you generated an income from that sale (it is yours), if people receive money without giving anything in return it is the money stolen from the baker for marketing his bread.
And let's not think only at the national level, at the global level the Federal Reserve is printing dollars like never before because of the pandemic and its consequences that we will continue to live for the rest of the year.
So there's also inflation when we talk about dollars, maybe with fewer digits but anyway you're also losing purchasing power with your dollars sitting under your mattress.
We must break with old beliefs that buying dollars is the safest refuge. There are other options, that I'll tell you about Bitcoin but I'll leave that for another day.
