Cloverfield is a 3 part series of films. Apparently 1 is weak, but the other 2 are cool. Now we will look at the third part filmed by Netflix.
The world is on the brink of war due to energy shortages. There is a shortage of electricity, a shortage of oil - what is the cause? I don't know. On the other hand, there is a solution for this, Shepard's experimental gas pedal. However, the technology is ... experimental, so it is fired up in space. For 2 years it fails to launch and the world is plunged into chaos. However, one day the reactor fires up, but there is some kind of overload and the heroes are sent to a parallel world, where various things happen.
The film is officially good. In my opinion, however ... strange. In the sense of what reason would Russia (or other countries) attack the US, for example, when there is no energy at all. This is a global problem.
Two - the lack of energy is rather not a tragedy, in the sense of course it is a regression of civilization, but people lived without electricity.
Three - what caused this energy not to be there. You know, we have RES, which maybe doesn't give a lot of energy, but it doesn't require some oil and so on. I don't think this problem can't be solved somehow on earth.
In my opinion, it's more fiction than science. The film itself can be watched, but it's not cinematic artistry.
