PieDAO has launched their first product on Ethereum Main called BTC++
BTC++ is a basket of currently 4 Bitcoin emulating/IOU tokens on Ethereum.
1 BTC++ is equally powered by
- 25% imBTC
- 25% pBTC
- 25% sBTC
- 25% wBTC
The first advantage that comes to my risk aware mind is that you'll avoid permanent loss in case something happens to a smartcontract on Ethereum. Worst case you'll lose 25% of the underlying asset, right?
Buy & Earn
You can buy BTC++ on Uniswap which means that you can also earn fees by supplying the token on Unipools.
You can mint/create BTC++ on btc.piedao, and hopefully services like DeFiZap will add an easy way to convert to the underlying BTC tokens quick and cheap.
