In the last couple of weeks NBA Top Shot got a lot of attention in the Crypto and in the NBA community. It is like a trading card game but with digital video clips of NBA Highlights.
What you need to know before investing!
1. Withdrawal Fees
Currently, there are only about 13,000 people able to withdraw their Dapper Balance. To be able to withdraw you need to wait about 30 days right now, and it is likely that one might have to wait even 40-60 days which is like two whole months!
And there are only two possibilities to withdraw right now. Either on your bank account, which is only available in the U.S., or via USD Coin. In both cases you need to pay a $25 "withdrawal fee", which is pretty much in my opinion, since not everybody wants to invest multiple thousands of dollars into a page where you currently cannot even sign up to.
2. Maximum withdraw
While some moments already sold for 125,000 dollars there is also a maximal withdraw amount. This is currently sitting at $3000 per day. So if you are able to withdraw, and you are the one who sold that $125,000 LeBron James you would need to wait 42 DAYS!! And you would also have to pay 42 x $25 which adds up to 1,050 dollars! According to NBA Top Shot there is a possibility to become a “verified large account” and then your limit would be increased, but who knows what “verified large account” means.
3. Minimum withdraw
There is not only a maximum withdraw, but also a minimum withdraw. Since you need to pay $25 in fees, not depending on how much you withdraw, it does not make any sense to withdraw less than that. The minimum withdraw amount is $30. In my opinion the fees are quite a lot, but since gas fees are very high at the moment it is understandable. Anyway they make the collecting not that attractive to those who might want to invest 100 dollars since they would have to waste 25% of their investment in fees. And as I said not everybody can or wants to invest multiple dollars into NBA Top Shot.
