As part of the Brave Rewards program and numerous recommendations on publish0x, I decided to try out Farsite Online.
This DeFi-powered MMO, allows users to create and own their own spaceship.
After registering, I first made my way over to the Hangar (screenshot below) to check out the Airdrops.
I received 1 crate for completing several tasks, such as:
- Applying for the airdrops campaign
- Joining the Community
- Discovering unique ships in the Station (screenshot below)
- Sharing my Hangar
- Commenting on the Farsite YouTube video
There are also options to get more points for completing tasks in Facebook, if this is your method of social platforming.
In addition to gaining points by inviting friends to play, there is a crate drop once every 24 hours.
My first crate contained a starter ship, phase rail weapon, and kinetic mining laser. A nice start to building my very own ship.
The Farsite Guide covers all the basics, some of the more advanced concepts, and game play.
I found it reads much like an online story, blog, or a good old fashion paperback, which makes learning about the game much more enjoyable.
Next, I made my way over to the Farsite Store, and found there are currently 4 options to buy crates for credits, which I will buy given future funds availability.
There is also a nifty bit of information at the bottom of the Store screen, describing how the cNFTs for each module and ship (ERC-21) come with ERC-20 credits locked inside, and how the ERC-21 tokens are burned on crate unlock while the ERC-20 credits are released.
At this point, I was interested to know about the profile information and available game settings.
There is a way to change your user name, confirm your email address, change your password, view your friend recruits, and connect your Ethereum wallet.
In addition, I found that players of MoonCryptoPolis will be eligible to receive FAR tokens through the game.
