I’ve written about margin trading in the past, how dumb it is, how it only increases the profits of the exchanges, and how it essentially just gambling. I still stand by this. 

But, and this is a huge but here, KuCoin has released a battle brawl kind of game around margin trading. It is a part of KuCoin’s one year anniversary since opening margin trading. I know, a bit silly of an event but hey, KuCoin has been known to do things like this is in the past. A few years ago they gave out BTC just for guessing the closing price. 

Here's a screenshot of the game. You choose long or short, depending on where you think BTC is going, and then compete against others taking the opposite choice. If you win, you earn USDT. If you lose, you lose USDT. You start with $1, and it is admittedly fun. 

I would strongly advise against putting large amount of USDT on the table with this though, cause then you're really just throwing your money away. Instead, have some fun by using the house's funds, $1, and just play a bit.

I think a gamified version of margin trading has a long future. Imagine the UI even more advanced than KuCoin's shown above. Instead with anime characters or something, or combine it with dungeon crawling or other crazy World of Warcraft mechanics.
