I've wondered this for a while now. Why are there no new fast growing projects on any of the major blockchains like solana, cardano, xrp, and ethereum? I'm sure there are a ton of small ones, but why are they not exponentially growing? Is the competition really that fierce?
These are some of the biggest projects in ethereum right now.
Interesting how we know nearly every single one of them, right? Most of you have used uniswap, clicked onto one of those websites, and invested through robinhood or have thought about it in the past.
Using that knowledge, there are a few unheard of names on that list. The important takeaway is that they're all big players, and that none of them operate in the play to earn industry which tells us that the industry is underappreciated and undiscovered. Or they're all just largely scams....there's no definite way to tell.
Regardless, the reason we aren't seeing constant pepes and wallstreetbets pump and dumps is because responsible money has entered crypto, and it's all headed towards bitcoin, not the shitcoins.
The main reason for this is because of the recent SEC approval for several bitcoin spot futures which had absolutely revolutionized the indsutry as a whole due to the fact that billionaires could now buy into crypto with some sort of assurance of an FDIC asset protection program backing their funds up. This doesn't really apply much to billionaires, but rather the common folk. If bitcoin goes to 0, the USA treasury had guaranteed that they'll back upto 250,000$ per investor in such a case. But if crypto doesn't go to 0, but rather only loses 50% of it's value, that's an investors fault for bad judgement and therefore does not qualify for protection from the FDIC under any circumstances whatsoever.
