Publish0x doesn't necessarily have a problem with their growing userbase as it is obviously a crypto based platform with a userbase that is entirely crypto absorbed - the only downside is that the users dictate exactly what gets rewarded - which also means that they're not able to get a balanced view on how the financial world behaves or reacts (important but uninteresting news is turned down and not tipped, subsequently not being shown to others)
If you take a look at my previous posts, there are a few that have performed badly or extremely below average - this is entirely due to the fact that users don't like content that contradicts with the general community's views on everything crypto-related. For example, if I ever evaluate bitcoin in a fair light, I get the same amount of views as any other post, but the tips are halved, most of the time alot less than halved. (20% of a normal tip to view ratio) - this is because people obviously want to be shown news that they agree with. This means that everything on publish0x you see tends to be biased.
I've noticed that usually, if you get 500 views, you can expect to be tipped 0.35$-0.55$ which makes complete sense. But if you post something that paints bitcoin or crypto in a bad light through an evaluation that determines the downsides of a certain token (e.g. ethereum or bitcoin), you'd get less views and the tips would be heavily skewed (the likes are usually decreased too). One of my recent posts got 500 views, and received 10 cents in tips and 7 dislikes and 2 likes. I know it sounds like I sometimes just write bad articles, but I genuinely integrate the same amount of effort into every article - it's just that publish0x is really reliant on you guys to rank good posts and put down the bad ones. I suppose the purpose of this platform is to promote crypto in a good light because that's what the community needs right now, especially in the beginning of a bullmarket. I'm not complaining, I'm just educating you guys on why you might (at times) see unusually biased posts that'll make you get skepitcal. Don't hate the author, just understand their position. They have to write articles on topics that're interesting and biased in order to get views and subsequently get tipped. So that's just how it is.
I'll probably write more on this topic in the near future but that's all for now.
Cheers.
