I've been a long term holder but lately I've been thinking about getting some of my crypto back into fiat. After riding this rollercoaster for years, I figure it might be time to actually use some of these gains!
If you're looking to cash out too, here are the main ways I've found:
Coinbase and Binance are the go-to exchanges for most people. Pretty simple process:
- Move your crypto to the exchange
- Sell for USD/EUR/whatever
- Wire it to your bank account
They work fine, but the fees can add up and waiting for bank transfers is such a pain.
Lately I've been using a crypto debit card instead. Gnosis Pay has been working great for me. You can use your crypto directly or cash out at ATMs, plus you get some nice cashback on purchases. I really like how Gnosis lets me spend crypto without having to fully cash out. The card works everywhere and the app is super easy to use. The cashback rewards have actually added up to a decent amount over the past few months. The interface is clean and transactions show up instantly, which is way better than waiting for bank transfers to clear when using exchanges.
