Ok, I need to admit, I hold a bit of AI tokens, despite my doubts.

Like many people in crypto, I got caught in the narrative. AI + crypto sounds like the most obvious mega-trend of the decade: decentralized compute, AI agents, machine economies… the story is powerful.

But when a narrative gets hot in crypto, prices usually move much faster than the actual technology.

And today felt like one of those moments.

Across the AI sector, tokens suddenly started pumping again.
For example, FET jumped more than ~21% in 24 hours, pushing the price close to $0.19 with heavy trading volume.

At the same time, TAO climbed back above $230, riding the broader AI narrative and market momentum.

When an entire sector starts moving together like that, I usually ask myself a simple question:

Is this a good moment to buy… or a good moment to de-risk?

For me, it was the second.

So I decided to sell my FET position.

Not because the project is necessarily bad. But because the whole “AI alliance” narrative still feels a bit engineered to me. The valuation moves very fast while real adoption is still hard to measure.

And after a 20%+ daily move, I’m usually happy to let someone else chase the candle.

That said, I didn’t exit the AI sector completely.

I kept a small bag of TAO.

Why?

Because if one project in the AI crypto space actually feels structurally different, it’s Bittensor. The idea of a decentralized network where machine learning models compete and get rewarded for producing better intelligence is at least aligned with how AI systems might evolve.

So my approach right now is progressive pivoting:

• Sold most of my AI exposure
• Fully exited FET after the pump
• Keeping a bit of TAO in case the narrative keeps running

Maybe the AI narrative keeps sending everything higher.

If that happens, I’ll still participate a bit.

But if the hype cools down, I’ll be happy I reduced my exposure when everyone else suddenly turned bullish again.
