I recently got the Scroll SCR airdrop. Not a lot compared to the activity I had, around $90, and I still wonder about the utility of the token. On top of that, activity on Scroll network has declined since the airdrop happened... Coz there's nothing exciting on that Ethereum layer-2 chain... One more reason why I decided to sell my SCR for SUI.
Let me break it down for you:
When I received my SCR airdrop, I was initially excited. But as I dug deeper, I realized that the token didn't offer much in terms of utility. It felt more like a placeholder rather than a token with real-world applications. This lack of utility made me question its long-term value...
The hype around the Scroll network seemed to fizzle out quickly after the airdrop. The network activity has been on a steady decline, which is not a good sign for any blockchain project. If there's no activity, there's no value, and that's a red flag for me!
Scroll's Ethereum layer-2 chain promised a lot, but so far, it hasn't delivered anything groundbreaking. The lack of innovative projects and developments made me lose interest. I need to see some real progress and exciting use cases to keep my investment...
On the other hand, Sui has been making waves in the blockchain space. With its focus on scalability and user-friendly applications, Sui seems to be on the right track. The community is vibrant, and there's a lot of buzz around upcoming projects and developments.
Given the current state of Scroll and the potential of Sui, it made sense to switch my investment. Sui offers a more promising future with real utility and a growing ecosystem. I believe it's a better bet for long-term growth and returns.
Selling my SCR for SUI was a strategic move. I'm always looking for projects that offer real value and have a strong community backing them. Sui ticks all those boxes, while Scroll, unfortunately, does not.
If you're in a similar situation, consider the long-term potential of your investments. Sometimes, it's better to cut your losses and move to greener pastures.
However, SUI can also dump... So no financial advice. Nobody knows in reality... DYOR.
