I recently stumbled across something that caught my attention while exploring DeFi on the Base Blockchain—a liquidity pool on PancakeSwap that’s allegedly offering a 90% APR! (click here for details). The pool? It’s ETH paired with Universal SUI (uSUI), a wrapped version of the native SUI token.

Here’s what I’ve been testing: I used Ionic Money, a lending protocol, to borrow uSUI, swapped half of it for ETH, and then staked both into this pool. My reasoning? I’m betting on a potential catch-up trade where ETH might outperform uSUI over time. If it plays out, I could end up with more uSUI than I borrowed, plus the farming rewards. Sounds promising, right?

But let’s be real—this isn’t risk-free. While Base Blockchain and PancakeSwap are well-known and trusted platforms, there are always risks in DeFi. Smart contract vulnerabilities, impermanent loss, and the reliability of wrapped tokens like uSUI are all factors to consider. Always DYOR (Do Your Own Research) before jumping in!
