I recently discovered the DOP (Data Ownership Protocol) Testnet. DOP is not a layer-2 like Arbitrum or zkSync. Instead, DOP is building its protocol like an app on top of Ethereum. The objective is to be really decentralized, by avoiding the centralized sequencer issues. Therefore, it is a promising app. On top of that, you can get eligible to receive DOP token rewards after the official launch in early 2024. To get this airdrop, you need to follow these steps:

1. Getting Started: The first step is to visit DOP’s website and enter a valid email address. It's important to ensure an optimal experience by using the Google Chrome browser on your desktop.

2. Creating a New DOP Wallet: If you don’t have a DOP wallet already, follow the steps to create a new one. Remember to securely save your Secret Recovery Phrase and your secret key. Please note: You can import any EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) compatible wallet that you already have - for instance your MetaMask or Coinbase wallet, by using the seed phrase or private key. Just a little tip: In my case I use a wallet on which I have no real assets left. That's what we can call a "burner wallet", that you can use for temporary use to test new networks like DOP.

3. Testing Dashboard Overview: Navigate through the testing dashboard, complete the tasks, and track your progress. You need to complete 8 steps in total to be eligible for DOP rewards.

4. Claim Testnet Tokens: In the preliminary steps, claim the test tokens that will be used in the following tasks. This will include tokens of different values for testing use only.

5. Experience the Basic Functions: Use DOP to encrypt and decrypt assets, send assets to another DOP wallet, and invite friends to join the testnet.

By following these steps, I was able to successfully navigate the DOP Testnet and complete the tasks, what makes me eligible to the future airdrop.
