So there I was scrolling through my usual crypto rabbit holes when I stumbled upon something that actually caught my attention navi protocol on sui network. Having been using Sui for more than a year now, I has seen it evolve and mature, so when I heard about the Navi app from people who seem genuinely excited not just hyping things up, I decided to give it a shot and here's how it went.
First thing I needed was a good Sui wallet. I use Slush on my mobile, that's pretty easy. DYOR as usual... Then, I needed some Sui compatible assets since most of what I hold is on Binance I had to figure out how to get those tokens over without losing half of them in fees. I used Wormhole when I started, but what's cool now is that you can withdraw directly your USDC from Binance to your Slush wallet using Sui Network. Transfer a bit of SUI too for the gas fees. $1 of SUI is enough. Transactions are really cheap on Sui Network.
Next step was connecting my Slush wallet to Navi protocol. I found their app at https://app.naviprotocol.io/?code=493320019543855104
which is the main interface. Once connected it felt surprisingly smooth like the kind of experience that makes you forget you're interacting with blockchain tech.
I started by supplying USDC into the lending pool. It only took one click and I was officially earning interest in real time. I could see the numbers ticking up slowly but surely and then came the surprise part the rewards started showing up in my wallet too. Turns out they were giving out NAVX tokens to active users which made me feel like I was getting something extra for doing what I would normally do anyway.
What really kept me hooked though was the simplicity of it all. No confusing steps no gas wars like on Ethereum no waiting forever for transactions to confirm. Everything just worked fast and cheap and every time I checked back there was a little more yield stacking up.
After using Sui for over a year, this has been one of the more pleasant experiences in the DeFi space especially compared to some of the messier platforms I've tried before. If you're looking to put your assets to work without headaches Navi on Sui might just be worth checking out.
Disclaimer: Not financial advice. Crypto is risky, and DeFi is risky too. There might be vulnerabilities in the wallet you use, the protocol smart contract, etc. So invest only the money you can afford to lose.
