The following email from Medium motivated my decision:

As mentioned in our previous message to you, unless you are an authorized representative of a project you may not advertise or promote airdrops or related activities. 
 
If you are the authorized representative of a project promoting airdrops, the email address on your account must match the official domain for that project (e.g. if you are promoting an airdrop for "xyzcoin.com" your account email must be on the xyzcoin.com domain).

If you are not an authorized representative for a project, promoting airdrops is a violation of our Rules. I have removed the suspension on your account; to remain active on the platform going forward, please refrain from posting violating content to your account. Further violations of our rules will result in additional action, up to/including permanent suspension.
