Pennywise - All or Nothing

Pennywise

Pennywise tells us "all or nothing" once again. Four years after "Reason to Believe" movie and Jim Lindberg's departure, the Californians, part of punk rock elite, look fresh and effective.

Despite the addition of a hardcore-punk legend, Ignite's singer Zoli Teglas, it seems that he has always been in the band. Without changing the music, Pennywise and Zoli, this time at the microphone, inspire the lost punk we were used to. I'm really ecstatic with this record because I see that Pennywise is here and will hopefully stay for years to come. An album full of songs that can set fire to any calm pit and make any alienated, old, tired punkrocker shake his head, ignoring his cervical syndrome.

When you press play, you are asked to choose "All or Nothing", not to waste another day ("Waste Another Day") and to revolt ("Revolution"). It starts out loud and looks like a siege ram trying to open the back door of your speakers and almost succeeds with the hit, perhaps, of the album, "Let us Hear Your Voice", which I'm sure we will soon hear live. "Stand Strong", "We are the Fallen"… Beautiful sound from the beginning to the end, that you need to fight the depression created by the economic recession, since it rhythmically makes you rock and lyrically think and get out of lethargy, in which you have been put.

This has always been the case with Pennywise, and so is their tenth official release. It deserves attention and support. Οh Οh Οh, We want a revolution!
