Given the diverse background of auroville, a lot of interesting events take place all throughout the year. Most tourists are not aware of these events.

Aurelec:

Near Auroville bakery there is a restaurant called Aurelec. They only serve buffet lunch here.Usually there is red rice, salads and lots of healty varities

Auroville has an e-commerce website at auroville.com You can find various products like chocolates, spirulina, essential oils, musical instrunments and more.

One can buy these products for lesser prices from their physical stores.For example, Mason chocolate factory gives 20% discount when one buys from their store. They make dark chocolates.

Auro Spirul :

Auro Spirul gives some discount when one buys from their store. Auro Spirul sells Spirulina, Triphala, Ashwagandha, Brahmi, essential oils and more. Spirulina has high protein content. Ashwagandha and Brahmi are' good for thinking people. Essential oils have healing properties including calming the mind.

Auro Amirtham :

Auro Amirtham sells kombucha, jam and noodles. Kombucha is a fermented probiotic drink and good for digestion.

Residential Stay :

Farm tours:

In farm tours, they show and explain organic farming practices and guests staying in auroville for a mininium of 2 weeks can volunteer in the farms.

There are almost 15 farms in Auroville and the following are the farm tour timings:

Farms :

Buddha garden

Buddha garden spans across 11 acres of land and volunteers can get to stay and experience the organic farming practices and every Tuesday on      4:30 pm they have a self guided tour to explore the farm.

Auroorchard

Auroorchard is the second largest farm in Auroville offering variety of fruits and vegetables and they have turned into organic farming since 2012 with sustainable methods like mulching,compost and green manures. They also have a poultry farm which produces 6000 eggs per week to feed the local population in Auroville. Every Wednesday on 3 pm Ramanan who with other Aurovillians maintain the farm gives a tour about the practices followed in the farm.

Terrasoul

Terrasoul being a relateively smal sized farm mainly focuses on permaculture practices. Guest staying in auroville can also attend the permaculture worshops conducted by Terrasoul. On every saturday people can get the produce dirctlyfrom the farm.

Sustainable Architecture :

Many Architects from India prefer doing Internship as their are many firms related to architecture and many workshops are conducted every month in places like Auroville Green practices , Sacred Groves, Auroville Earth Institute.
