*TEXT* JOSHUA 15:21-47.
_*🔑KEY VERSE* "Ashdod with her towns and her villages, Gaza with her towns and her villages, unto the river of Egypt, and the great sea, and the border thereof" (JOSHUA 15:47)._

It is an undisputable fact that God can create something from nothing and can bring out the visible from the invisible. Even man who is the crown of the creation of God was made from ordinary dust of the earth. This attests to the omnipotent nature of our Almighty and all-wise Creator.

The passage today, though merely lists the cities of Judah and their borders, yet, is quite instructive. There stands out a number of lessons for believers to learn. On this list, we might wonder why Bethlehem, which afterwards became the city of David was not mentioned, even when it was to be destined to be the birthplace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. That city, which at best, was but little among the thousands of Judah, was omitted as it was not to be accounted one of the cities.

A biblical prophecy declared it several hundreds of years before the birth of Christ that Bethlehem Ephratah, though it be little among thousands of Judah, yet, out of it would come forth unto us He that would be Ruler in Israel, "whose going forth have been from of old, from everlasting" (Micah 5:2). This shows that the connection between Christ and Bethlehem was what brought out greatness for that hitherto insignificant land.

In the same vein, the coming of Jesus in the life of an individual will transform such a person from the state of mediocre to a hero, from failure to success, from nothing to something, from disappointment to appointment, from indigence to affluence, from insignificance to greatness and from sinfulness to saintliness.

*✍THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* Christ brightens the corner where you are.

*PONDER* Curse, a sure setback to full possession of blessings
1. Judah, the 4th born of Jacob was given about 125 cities and villages vv20-62, while 15 cities were as ascribed to Reuben, the first born 13:15-23.
2. What went wrong? Hundreds of years before then, Reuben was cursed by Jacob for his immorality with his step mother Genesis 49:3,4.
Reuben did not cry for mercy. He resigned to it.
3. Moses understood the curse to be a limitation on the prosperity of Reuben the first born and his descendants. Moses prayed to reverse it Deuteronomy 33:6. Even though Reuben has died by this time, there is no record that shows his offsprings did anything about it in order to reverse the curse or at least limit the damage.
4. Few years after Moses' death, the manifestation of the curse was glaring since there was no conscious repentance and breaking of the yoke. There was loss of double portion of the firstborn to Joseph, loss of Messianic line to Judah and serious limitations on the prosperity of his genealogy.
5. Remember that Judah himself was involved in adultery. Why do you think God overlooked his sins and still bless himself specially and did not overlook the curse on Reuben?
6. Reuben resigned to his fate and felt satisfied. Saints should not be satisfied with limitations. Jesus has come to break every yoke, Galatians 3:13,14.

*HYMN:* Pass me not, O gentle Saviour

1. Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Let me at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.
Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.
Thou the spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me;
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heaven but Thee?

1. Praise God for the death and resurrection of Jesus that gave us unlimited possibilities in life.
2. Do you observe any limitation in possessing your possessions in any area of your life? Take it to the cross and ask the cross to cancel it out of your destiny and children.
3. Pray that mighty anointing that breaks all limitations and curses will be at work at the retreat.
4. Pray for anointing that breaks the yoke upon every minister at the retreat.

I had just moved out of my parents house and was sharing a room with my "friend". I had no idea he smoked weed, despite his suspicious movements and signature weed scent https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1434216186860159&id=1429175030697608
