*TEXT* JOSHUA 15:13-20.
_*🔑KEY VERSE* "And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the Children of Anak" (JOSHUA 15:14)._

H. W. Longfellow was forthright when he said, "The heights that great men reached and kept were not achieved by sudden flight but while their companions slept, they were toiling upward in the night". The ability to do great exploits resides in those who dare to be valiant for the Lord.

Caleb had been valiant and faithful from the beginning. He was one of the original twelve spies sent to the Promised Land. Then, he saw the great cities and the giants (the Anakims) and yet he declared: "we are well able to overcome it" (Numbers 13:30). As a result of his faith, God promised him a personal inheritance and fulfilled it, even after 45 years had passed. This shows God's unfailing nature; whatever promises He had made regardless of time, He will surely fulfil it.

Caleb's legacy of courage and faith was transferred to the next generation. His brother, Othniel also valiantly conquered Kirjathsepher, became the first judge in Israel after the death of Joshua and God used him as a deliverer of His people from their enemies (Judges 3:9-11).

Caleb started, continued and ended valiantly. It is unfortunate today that many people started as valiant and faithful Christians, but when the going got tough and tensed, they derailed. There are many lands yet to be conquered for the Lord; many souls still to win into God's kingdom. We must become valiant and put on the strength of the Lord through unwavering faith, fasting, agonising and prevailing prayers for this battle for souls of men. No matter how difficult or impenetrable our territories may seem we must fight on for the battle is the Lord's.

*✍THOUGHT FOR THE DAY* The valiant sees the end of the battle .

*PONDER:* Fight to the end, the springs are there
1. The cities of the Anakims were among the most fortified and fearful of all the cities to be conquered by Israel Joshua 14:12.
2. Some Anakims were conquered while some proved stubborn 15:13,14,15,16.
3. What was really at stake in the highly fortified region that Caleb was willing to risk his life and engage the strong men? Why was this place specially fortified by the Anakims and they would not want to trade it off?The springs, not common to other places, were there v19. Othniel called it a blessing.
4. Why did God decided to give this difficult place as a blessing to Caleb? v13.
a. The springs of blessings were there.
b. Caleb had the will and the might to tackle this stronghold of the enemy. God will not give you a battle that is greater than what you can tackle through His grace (I Corinthians 10:13).
*If your blessings are highly fortified against your reach, it is because it is a spring of blessings that will never dry up when you get it. Be valiant. Never give up*
*The more precious the treasure, the stronger the fence against "intruders" and the greater the violence, courage and faith needed to possess it.* Never give up, there are springs of blessings for the valiant.

*HYMN:* Onward Christian Soldiers

Onward Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before.
Christ, the royal Master,
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See, His banners go!
Onward, Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus,
Going on before.
At the name of Jesus
Satan’s host doth flee;
On then, Christian soldiers,
On to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver
At the shout of praise:
Brothers, lift your voices,
Loud your anthems raise!
Like a mighty army
Moves the Church of God:
Brothers, we are treading
Where the saints have trod;
We are not divided,
All one Body we—
One in faith and Spirit,
One eternally.
Crowns and thrones may perish,
Kingdoms rise and wane;
But the Church of Jesus
Constant will remain.
Gates of hell can never
’Gainst the Church prevail;
We have Christ’s own promise,
Which can never fail.
Onward, then, ye people!
Join our happy throng;
Blend with ours your voices
In the triumph song.
Glory, laud and honor
Unto Christ, the King;
This through countless ages
Men and angels sing.

1. Any blessing that proves "stubborn" and almost giving up? Tell God to give you unconquerable will, faith and courage to possess them.
2. Command all the satanic fortifications against your destiny to collapse.
3. Command all the strongholds holding your blessings to release them in the mighty name of Jesus.
4. Ask for the power of the Holy Spirit upon every believer in the Church and make them valiant in warfare.190903265-54686c8206bfc36603ba7d479c9d00070ba3f9806ff743f9f2512dfd7965c274.jpeg

I had just moved out of my parents house and was sharing a room with my "friend". I had no idea he smoked weed, despite his suspicious movements and signature weed scent https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1434216186860159&id=1429175030697608
