Jada Facer caught my attention after my YouTube music algorithm took a deep dive into Acoustic Covers. The first song I heard was an Ellie Goulding cover of “Love Me Like You Do” and the voice was different enough to catch my attention. I have to say that by the end, I felt like she nailed it. Enough to make me stop the random playlist and get serious. Who is this?
Only twenty years old this is her second entertainment career. Of course, the first is acting. The most notable being a lead role on a sitcom with Melissa Joan Hart. It seems for the at least for the last three or four years she has been breaking into music the same way so many of the YouTube artists have lately.
A string of fire Acoustic Covers! Followed by some originals that have not quite had the same impact yet.
What is interesting is the catalog of songs she has chosen. She mirrors very closely to what those before having chosen. Songs like “The Scientist” by Coldplay, and “Creep” by Radiohead. This formula has been laid out before from acts like Boyce Avenue, Kina Granis, Tyler Ward, and Kurt Hugo Schneider.
Even more interesting is the appearance of so many artists like this in her songs. Tyler Ward is the producer on her original song and there is a string of other Acoustic Cover artists in almost every song of hers.
This strategy has worked too many times to be ignored. Jada is sitting well over 100 million views on YouTube alone and I am sure doing quite well. Credit where credit is due. Jada does better than most. She has an amazing voice and has been pumping out the songs at a rapid pace. She has the look and is very hardworking.
The road to her success is what we can expect from the next generation of artists also.
