Ethereum Fees Are On Fire: US Has Top 10 Mining Pool, Reddit Partners with EF, Ray Dalio's Take on BTC

*Blockchain/Protocol Fees are NOT a bad thing. Individuals/entities would not be paying these fees if there wasn’t a business opportunity for doing so. If someone swaps on Uniswap and pays a $20 gas fee, it’s probably because the trade is expected to net more than enough to cover that fee.

The $UNI token launch set aside 400+ $UNI each for 250k+ unique Ethereum addresses. By doing so, Uniswap set precedent for what a “fair token launch” on Ethereum may look like. Unlike the ICO hysteria of 2017 when teams launched a token to raise money for a future project that may or may not happen, Hayden Adams built Uniswap on a $100k grant in 2018 and within 3 years turned Uniswap into a $5 Billion protocol. Today Uniswap smart contracts boast over $3.5 Billion in assets and facilitates daily exchange of $500 Million earning the protocol and liquidity providers over $4 Million in daily fees. Now that Uniswap has cemented itself as an essential piece of infrastructure on Ethereum, $UNI token holders have the opportunity to allocate a $500 Million war chest to fund future development. What may be most surprising is who some of the largest $UNI holders are. Within the top 15 voting addresses are four American University Blockchain Groups - Harvard Law, Stanford, University of California, and UCLA. My question is where is IU?? If anyone knows someone at Indiana University with ties to a blockchain initiative I’d love to make a donation in $UNI so IU’s voice can be heard on future governance proposals.
