How to choose the right the way
As developer you know that one thing you can do it in several ways, with several tools, languages and so on. But choosing the right the way to fit into a particular case is a problem. I mean, you have to think about things like performance, easy to maintain, the resilence, easy to deploy into production and more. Ufff, sounds a little bit overwarming... and it is.
First Attempt: wordpress
My idea behind, as you remember of first post, is to create a site to show the new films and new series. I mean, a place where you can track down about the cinema premiers and new series into the most famous networks as netflix, hbo, disney+, appletv+ and amazon prime mainly. My first attempt was to think in to do it the easier as possible. Why? because I'm only a developer to do it, so everything related to me is limited. I'm limited with the development time, I'm limited into resources... mainly the money to spend into the site. So I had to think really well what was the option for me. What is fit into my use case... So the first thing comes into my mind was wordpress. Yes, wordpress is top of mind, so it was the first idea behind. I think wordpress it's a really good option... but it was against of one of my limitations... the money!. Yes the money, my budget. I don't want to pay from the beginning for something that I don't have any ROI (return of the investment). Wordpress gives you everything from the scratch, the only thing you have to do it's feeding with right the data. Wordpress it's famous for the ecosystem behind which is a lot of people developing plugins for everything you can image, wow!. So wordpress it's really really good. But I can't afford it. I mean, you have to pay at least 20$ for hosting at the beginning, but after that, you have to pay for more if you want to have more space, a hosting quicker, and the plugings you have to pay too... so it's really fancy but... you have to pay for it... I think that it's fair of course. So I have to think about in something cheap at the beginning and after that I can start to pay when I have something that it deserves it, doesn't it?
So finally I decided to don't use wordpress... :(
