EOS Marketplace is pushing forward diverse projects which help to the decentralization and empowering of local economy. It is an alternative to the traditional financial system by using the EOS Blockchain technology from decentralized finances (DeFi) to boost talents and skills from entrepreneurs in different states of Venezuela and the rest of the world.

An example of this is the project called "Finca EOS" developed in three states of Venezuela: Cojedes (Finca EOS I); Anzoátegui (Finca EOS II); and Carabobo (Finca EOS III).

What is Finca EOS?

This is the pilot program for working the fields. The goal is to supply products to the network of businesses accepting EOS throughout Venezuela. A noble labor that allows the use of technology to regain the love for cropping and nurturing the ground, while narrowing the existing gap between the EOS community members in Venezuela and healthy eating habits. Finca EOS was born from EOS Microloan and the blockchain technology of EOS based on DeFi, now integrated in the main project of EOS Market Place.

What is the mission of Finca EOS?

It entails a series of strategic objectives, but it sums up to three priority bullet points:

1.- Teach the value of manual labor in order to recover the craft of breeding and sowing as the core engine for economical growth, and liquidity building in the country.

2.- Provide an alternative for inventory replenishment paid with EOS and using loans (credits) as a way to generate liquidity and leverage.

3.- Generate spaces for the dissemination of information and knowledge on the use of technology as an effective tool for day-to-day life.

In which way are Finca EOS and EOS Market Place related?

The products and services within the facilities of the different EOS farms are part of the options on how businesses and entrepreneurs in the EOS community can replenish inventory by using EOS as a common currency, and receiving loans (credits) to trade in their own spaces.

Who are the EOS Market Place members that are linked to Finca EOS and what are their responsibilities on the project?

In every state there are representatives for the farms and pilot farms, as well as allies who, from their productive units, encourage the use of EOS as a common currency.

On top of this idea, and its execution is EOS Marketplace CEO Maurice Vanegas, or as he prefers to be known Mr EOS Microloan.

What projects is Finca EOS working on in Cojedes?

Initially, the crops planted were corn, yucca, and later on, given soil and facilities availability, they proceeded to breed red-bellied pacu in fish ponds, and peppers.

As of today, the EOS Farm I (Finca EOS I) is destined to become an agrotourism center, whose central theme will be the breeding of dairy goats and their by-products, the breeding of red-bellied pacu, and coporo as animal protein, and the specialization in hot peppers for the launching of the line of extra spicy goat milk whey #Chentechivo.

Finally, the crops will be progressively complemented with yucca, corn, passion fruit, tomato, peanuts, different types of bananas, sugarcane, and forest products such as mahogany and teak, until having the total of eleven productive acres for the EOS community in the center of the country.

What are the results of Finca EOS I in Cojedes?

Despite of still being learning from every craft of farming (which is worth mentioning are not in any way easy or predictable), it has been possible to harvest 420 kilograms of red-bellied pacu protein (fish), 800 kilograms of corn (fresh and dry), 850 kilograms of yucca, and around 60 kilograms of pepper (the seeds were selected from another merchant who sells vegetables), and it is expected to produce 150 kilograms of pork by December. It is also hoped that by May 2021 the harvest cycle of the Musaceae will begin, and at the same time milk production will be consolidated by the summer of 2021.

Finca EOS I, along with the Cafeycryptos Cojedes initiative, offers shipping services for the west center of the country, payable with EOS with the technology of EOS Market Place.

It is the common meeting site for the entrepreneurs in Cojedes for planning their lines of action for 2021.
