In your mind while you sleep
The Mare resides, a creature you keep.
With hooves of steel, and eyes ablaze,
She haunts our minds, in misty haze.

Her icy breath, a chilling kiss,
She feeds on fear, with wicked bliss.
She whispers secrets, dark and deep,
And lulls us to a restless sleep.

Her lips curl back, in a wicked grin,
Her heart of ice, knows no love within.
Her eyes are pools of endless night,
Where nightmares dance, with all their might.

The Mare is ancient, yet so new,
Her power vast, her reign untrue.
In every culture, she's disguised,
But her terror echoes, through the skies.

So beware, dear dreamer, of her might,
For in the darkness, she takes flight.
If your nightmares linger, far too long,
The Mare will claim you, with her song.

What is your worst nightmare? Tell me true,
And I will share mine, with you.
But beware, my friend, for secrets entwine,
And the Mare is listening, all the time.
