The Gift of Photography.
I fell on love with photography when I was in high school. I took a photography class in school and found that it let me express myself in ways I couldn't otherwise. It also let me be a bigger part of something without disrupting it. To be quite honest for as much as I love being behind the lens I loathe being in front of it. This is also one of the reasons that I enjoy taking pictures. I will be the first to offer to take the picture and hence me being a part of it without being in it.
No matter what you are feeling inside, or the feeling you want to express, you can make it visible with the right photo. There are so many avenues that you can take with photography. Animals, landscapes and nature are my favorites, but there is also abstract, portraits, marketing and so much more. The diversity is wonderful. What are you trying to convey...
Dark and ominous?

Positive for the future?

Cute and curious?

At the same time, someone else might get a different feeling from what your picture says and have it speak to them in a different way.
Like a painting or drawing your photographs can have a deep impact on someone and change their day. Since I was a small child I have seen some fantastic artists display their paintings, sculptures etc, and wished I could do that. Then, as I stated earlier i discovered how much I enjoy taking pictures and how I can manipulate the shot, no photo editing, just angle, lighting and camera settings and get several highly different pictures just based on those changes. Add in a photo editor and the sky is the limits.
If you look at how many people share their pictures on whichever app or platform, you can see that pictures speak, have emotion tied to them. They give meaning when no words can or will do. They can capture that perfect moment in time that inspires and creates awe and wonder. They can help keep that memory of a loved one who has passed, help you remember that last day at the park, holding their grandchild.
On this crazy world we have going on around us, being able to go somewhere and capture that moment I want to share with others and help them smile or lift their spirits makes me feel a little bit better. Or, helping someone capture that moment they will cherish forever is a wonderful feeling that I wouldn't give up for anything.
What pictures have helped put you at ease, change you mood or outlook to the better?
What is your love, passion or hobby that helps you show who you are and let's you express yourself more easily?
Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day.
All of these photos were taken by me and are solely my property.
