The Invisibility and Teleportation Got Me Insane!
The Msytery of Project Rainbow
Are you a fan of the famous science boy 'Jimmy Neutron'?
Have you watched their episode where they were (Sheen, Cindy, Liby, Carl and of course Jimmy) riding a space ship and Jimmy made it invisible and teleport to space?
That was quite impossible yet amazing, right?
But the show is a fiction a product of Mr. John A. Davis' imagination.
Do you believe in invisibility? Teleportation?
They say we cannot just imagine things without a prior knowledge working on it.
Well something like that happened way back 1943. That made Mr. John A. Davis think and create that Jimmy Neutron episode.
Amazed or would you rather say "i don't believe you"?
Yes! They believed that it's an urban legend, a hoax; but what happened in October 1943 tickled the imagination of conspiracy makers, and later the incident of year 1943 —that is called the "Philadelphia Experiment" which sooner referred as "Rainbow Project", —can be seen and believed as one of the conpiracy theories.
What is the Rainbow Project?
The Navy who conducted the experiments goal is to make the battle ship invisible in the Radar of the other opposing team (if we can recall world war II please correct me if I am mistaken). The experiment was named Rainbow Project for their initial plan is just to be invisible in the Radar Spectrum, but this Rainbow Project; which is also called as Pheladelphia Experiment because it happened in Pheladelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, also got invisible to the naked eye!
Experiment conductors were alarmed of the sudden loss of the ship because there were about 181 crewmen inside the ship, what shocked them is it was seen in Norkfolk Harbour USA and was back at Philadephia in the next 24 hours. Men got paralyzed and the 20 other men survived, but lost their sanity.
Sounds creepy isn't it?
How does Navy made their 'invisible to radar spectrum experiment'?
Well on what I gathered in searching about "How could I make something invisible in a radar spectrum". A word 'Cloaking Device' came out. So I ask some of my friends about it, sadly only one answered me, she says in their study, it is a fictional device that makes an object (like the 'ship' we are talking about) invisible. According to her, the device was quite impossible? So invisibility was impossible then? No. Because of the Counter Illumination 'like the B12, or the technique like cooling the outer space to minimize eletro magnetic emission.
So the battleship maybe produced light that can be adaptable to the sea. Or possibly cool the outer part of the ship to minimize EM.
Convinced? But do you think there is some other way?
Yes! There is one way left.
Invisibility of the battleship may caused by a mirage (i've studied it in my physics during highschool one of its example is the moist you can see in asphalted rut during hot days). How does mirage happen in this experiment? Mirage is a phenomenon when hot air and cold air collide. In the battle ship case, of course it contain generators, high frequency generators specifically, that would heat up the surrounding air and will make the vessel invisible. So the high frequency generator causes a greenish fog that minimize the magnetic emission, hide the ship and cause mirage to form hiding the ship from the view.
Why did the crewmen got mentally ill?
Are you aware of sailor's sickness? The divers' sickness?
The high frequency generator really screwed crew's conciousness.Sailor's Sickness happens when they are in the affected area and their body can't tolerate the high pressure environment in the ship, ascending from depth, or ascending to altitude.
Why did I say that this is a Sailor's Sickness?
Based on my resources, crewmens experience, cutaneous or skin itching, neurologic issues like insanity, seizure, and brain paralysis; and constitutional issues like headache, and fatigue.
181 crew men; Some of them were lost, others died, others were burned, burst because of pressure, and 20 of them got insane!
What's really disturbing is this:
The ship disappeared from the area in a flash of blue light and teleported to Norfolk, Virginia, over 200 miles (320 km) away and get back to Philadelphia after after it had been to Naval just for 10 minutes, quite disturbing yet still unknown and remain enigma.
This is still mystery that is still unresolve because no one that's in the ship that time can provide an answer.
