
These powerful and large eagles are dark with a white tail, shoulders, rump, thighs, and forehead. They hunt salmons, squid, shellfish, crabs, ducks, and small animals mostly. Many of Steller's sea eagles migrate from their breeding grounds to Japan and Korea each winter. The largest Steller´s eagles population is on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
