$ACX ~ My Crypto Winter Savior

By emily2u | emily2u | 8 Dec 2024

The momentous occasion of Bitcoin hitting $100,000 was a timely reminder for me to take stock of my own, albeit miserably small, stash of crypto. Having invested in crypto at the onset of the COVID-19 global lockdown due to too much free time on my hands, it was, unfortunately, poor timing as we were soon hit by crypto winter.

ACX price

$ACX rose by 140% in one day recently.

But even through the winter, as life began to gain momentum, I continued to stash crypto little by little. One of the more valuable coins was $ACX, which rose 140% a few days ago. Woohoo! Stashing $ACX is an extension of my discovery of the Across Protocol (ACX), a cross-chain token bridge that transfers value between mainnet Ethereum and other blockchain networks, particularly Layer 2.

If you haven't heard about Across Protocol, it's not too late.

What is Across Protocol?

A decentralized cross-chain bridge that leverages UMA's optimistic oracle to ensure security, Across emphasizes capital efficiency through a single liquidity pool. This simplifies liquidity management and reduces users' costs while maximizing yields for liquidity providers. Simply put, it's a win-win both ways.

top cross-chain bridges by volume in the last 30 days

Across has the 2nd highest volume in the last 30 days among all top cross-chain bridges.

Also, Across features a competitive relayer ecosystem, allowing third-party relayers to facilitate fast and secure asset transfers, enhancing transaction speed and efficiency without the risk of slippage.

But what about Across+?

A component of the Across V3 is the innovative Across+ that provides a seamless, Web2-like interface for cross-chain interactions. Because of this, developers can easily create dApps that interact with assets as though they were natively on the user's home chain. This eliminates the need for navigating multiple platforms for bridging or transactions.

fast and secure

Transactions on Across are fast and secure.

In short, Across+ offers a unified solution that supports intent-driven interoperability, paving the way for more robust and user-friendly dApps across various blockchain environments.

Intents-driven interoperability? What's that?

It is a transformative framework that allows users to express their desired outcomes for transactions across different blockchain networks. In its current most advanced phase, users can specify complex cross-chain intents, ultimately simplifying and enhancing user interactions with decentralized applications across multiple chains.

Over 35 Protocols Support ERC-7683 and Crosschain Intents

Here are over 35 protocols that support ERC-7683 and cross-chain intents.

The backbone for intents-driven interoperability

Jointly developed by Across Protocol and Uniswap Labs to enhance interoperability within the Ethereum ecosystem, ERC-7683 is the backbone that enables Across and Across+ to provide users with a streamlined experience for cross-chain transactions while promoting collaboration and innovation across decentralized applications.

Time to cash out (some)

So, with the above knowledge, it was time to cash out a portion of my stash. If not now, when? As the saying goes, "Buy the rumor, sell the news," and $ACX has just gotten the green light to be listed on Binance. Yipee!

ACX on Binance

Binance has announced that $ACX is a new listing, together with $ORCA.

Reflections

My crypto journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. There’s always something new to discover in this ever-evolving cryptocurrency space, even for seasoned investors, let alone a noob like myself. Here's to the next big leap in the crypto universe!
