Old Ireland

Old Ireland

Old Ireland I miss you,

And I think about you all the time,

I will never forget you,

I knew you in your prime.

It saddens me I will never see you again,

Or enjoy you with my kids,

The only ones who enjoy you now,

Are the traitorous pigs.

I will never forget them,

And forgive them I shall not,

They deserve only a hangman's noose,

Tight around their scruff.

You’re in the past now,

And you will never return,

We have lost old Ireland,

We shall forever mourn.

But that does not mean it is over,

We can save our Island yet,

We will make a new Ireland,

With Irish blood and sweat.

We will honour our ancestors,

Who we are spiritually bound,

We will defeat our invaders,

We will stand our ground.

We will make them pay,

For what they have stole,

And we will either die fighting,

Or finally retrieve what belongs to Irish souls.

These are the poems I have written throughout the years and any new ones I write. I don't write often and only usually write poetry when I am depressed. Hope someone enjoys them. 💚
