As we know that sales of a product are the foundation of a good business. So why do we have affiliate marketing. As most companies have to market their product or services to get it out fast as well as to be infront of as many people as possible they resort to affiliate marketing. It also could also be a fact that they do not have large budgets to do a large media blitz.

In affiliate marketing there are four parties. The producer of the product, you the internediary or affiliate, the intermediary who accepts payment  a third part like paypal or other such organisation and the ultimate buyer. So you become the affiliate or sales agent of the supplier/producer of the product. This way of doing business is pretty lucrative and some people who have a list of buyers or followers in social media or other media draw on them to tout the product.

Many people have always done their research and been able to hop on the next trend and so are ahead of their peers in marketing and making ting a great living doing this. For some it is sheer luck that got them the winner.

Affiliate marketing has a great advantage as the affiliate does not have to produce the product which may come at a great cost but rather sell the product on behalf of the producer and get a comission or a slice of the pie. Thus if you are looking at making a living and are good at sales the here is your calling or niche.
