Over last couple of days we had amounts of snow that I haven't seen in some years in Lithuania. Last year we didn't even have snow the whole winter. I really like when it snows as it makes this dark time of the year so much brighter and more joyful. So I grabbed my camera and explored my surroundings for a few hours.
I decent the staircase that leads to the riverfront near my home. There are quite a lot of people out enjoying the winter wonderland.

Many of the trails have already been cleaned by the city's road services. I take a turn off the main road to go on a footpath going through the forested area and get closer to the river.

The snow is almost blindingly white and fresh. I can see the river on my right through the overgrown bushes.

I absolutely love the look of snow covered treetops across the river. I go out of the woods and back to the main walking trail.

I really like this French style house I often pass by. I think it belongs to the German embassy as there is a German flag on the side of the building. And a Porche. After looking at some amazing snow-covered houses, I go back to the woods to grab some more nature shots.

I love how the red of the berries pops when covered in snow.

Thank you for reading! Would love to hear from you in the comments how is winter (or summer) in your homeland this time of the year. Cheers!
