Entry 42: The 3 classes

Entry 42: The 3 classes

Hello again, friends! Here we are another week.

I left off when I met Rosa, África, and Nuria, who would become my loyal classmates and eventually friends. From the moment we met, I knew we’d get along (Sandra says I can be a bit annoying sometimes, but I can’t have it all). Still, I was afraid of being alone and getting super bored in class—that wasn’t the case, though, as the three of them had a great vibe. I’ll tell you more about them later.

After a few weeks, we were already a team in class. Honestly, if it weren’t for them, the classes would’ve been a disastrous and horrible bore.

English, which was the first class, was quite a challenge at the beginning. The problem was the teacher—she was a bit pedantic and annoying. To be honest, I didn’t learn much with her, though África and I did share a good laugh at her expense.

Language was our second class and our favorite. We became fans of the teacher! Even though it was super hard, we gave it our all, despite how difficult it was.

We had a 15-minute break where we caught up on everything and could chat more, although honestly, we talked in every class too.

Then came math, the third and final class. It was both difficult and frustrating because the teacher, let’s be real, wasn’t cut out for teaching. It wasn’t that he didn’t know the material—he just got confused himself! On top of that, he had no patience and, for some reason, picked on África. She often wondered why, but sometimes there’s no explaining things.

And of course, there’s always a know-it-all in every class. In ours, it was “the know-it-all,” a title we voted on 3 to 1 (África, Nuria, and I voted yes, and Rosa abstained). We nicknamed her “The Councilwoman.” I’ll tell you more about her later because there’s plenty to say! Still, she did help bring us closer together with her personality, and honestly, she made class a bit more entertaining—at least for a while.
