What a cute little thing Pipo is! Pipo is my grandparents' bird; well, before that he was mine for a few months, but we left him with them so he could keep them company. Actually Pipo has another name, but I call him that because I like it better. In the mornings I always greet him by saying sweet things to him: "How are you Pipo? Good morning! Oh my little yellow ball!" When it's cold, Pipo curls up into a ball, that is, he gets chubby because he puffs up and looks like a "tennis ball." When I take him out onto the terrace to get some fresh air and sun, Pipo starts singing when he hears other neighbouring birds and sometimes, when I watch him, he makes little winks at me with his little black eyes and says "Peep, peep!" as if he were saying to me: "I love it when you take me out here!"
Pipo is also a very vain bird. When we clean him and give him fresh water, the first thing he does is “splash around”, he plays with the water, throwing it back to “bathe” and at the same time, cool off. When he finishes, the feathers around his beak are all wet and I find it very funny to see him like that because it seems that he has a darker yellow spot and it looks nice on him. What a cute little guy he is! Sometimes I liked to tease him; now not so much. What I try to do is tell him nice things, I talk to him, I tell him my things… And I know that he listens to me, as he always has. Oh! And Pipo is a very smart bird; that is what my grandfather said and that is how I describe him too. There is not and there will not be another bird in the world like him.
