Sandra looks at him. She can't believe it. Lucas stayed with her so she wouldn't be alone. That's why he was so quiet at recess when Hugo asked about permission.
– Lucas, you really surprised me, but you didn't need to stay with me, really. I think I could have survived the loneliness of the afternoon session. But well, there's nothing you can do now, right? Thank you, really, for staying. – says Sandra smiling.

And the bell rings. End of the school day for that day. The two boys gather their things, put them in their backpacks and prepare to leave for their respective houses. When they reach a square near their houses, they say goodbye.
