Dne 27. června 2024 Česká národní banka (ČNB) oznámila další snížení úrokových sazeb. Bankovní rada rozhodla snížit dvoutýdenní repo sazbu o 0,5 procentního bodu na 4,75 %. Diskontní sazba byla snížena na 3,75 % a lombardní sazba na 5,75 %. Toto opatření je součástí snahy podpořit ekonomiku a zlevnit úvěry pro domácnosti i firmy. Snižování sazeb pokračuje již od prosince 2023 a je reakcí na současné ekonomické podmínky.
Aktuální meziroční míra inflace v České republice 2,6 %. ČNB uvádí, že inflace se pohybuje v blízkosti jejich dlouhodobého inflačního cíle, který je stanoven na 2 % . Cenová stabilita byla obnovena a ČNB se zavazuje, že bude pokračovat ve své přísné měnové politice, aby inflace zůstala nízká a stabilní.
Podle ČNB se očekává, že růst hrubého domácího produktu (HDP) České republiky v roce 2024 dosáhne 1,4 %. Tato prognóza odráží mírně optimistický vývoj zahraniční poptávky, což pomáhá zlepšit růst tuzemské ekonomiky. Prognóza také předpokládá, že v příštím roce by měl HDP růst o 2,7 %.
ČNB také uvedla, že růst ekonomiky bude tažen zejména domácí poptávkou, kde spotřeba domácností po poklesu v předešlých letech začne opět růst.

On June 27, 2024, the Czech National Bank (ČNB) announced a further reduction in interest rates. The Banking Council decided to reduce the two-week repo rate by 0.5 percentage points to 4.75%. The discount rate was reduced to 3.75% and the Lombard rate to 5.75%. This measure is part of an effort to support the economy and make loans cheaper for households and companies. This forecast of the economy reflects a slightly optimistic development of foreign demand, which helps to improve domestic demand. The forecast also assumes that GDP should grow by 2.7% next year.
The CNB also stated that the growth of the economy will be mainly driven by domestic demand, when household consumption will begin to rise again after the decline in previous years.
