E&S Token Review: Special Christmas Edition

Happy holidays Publish0x community and welcome back in this new special article of my “Easy & Short Cryptocurrencies Made Accessible” area.

As you may have read from the title, we are here today with a special and different article than usual. In fact, today's article will be a special “Christmas Edition” where I want to bring you a though that I made recently.

First, I wish you all happy holidays and a nice new year!

In 2017, I happened to see a report on a TV show about Crypto. They were talking about how their value was exclusively determined by people moved by the desire to become rich. In other words, they were accusing them of being a bubble.

Now:

Surely there are such Cryptos. Shitcoins are the perfect example of coins that do not raise their price because there is a real value behind them, but only because there are speculators who buy low and then sell as high as possible. But are they all like that? Clearly not.

Think of Cryptos related to gaming, or gambling for example. Those are Cryptos that people use for what they offer, and not to speculate on. So, to say that they are a bubble is simply wrong, because the financial bubble exists the moment the price rises unjustifiably. When it inflates only because there are speculators behind it who buy to be able to sell right after, and not because there is real value in that asset. This is why many cryptocurrencies are not a damn bubble. Because there is real utility behind them.

Believe it or not Blockchain, Crypto and decentralized finance will change the world.

Even Hillary Clinton says that Cryptocurrencies can destabilize governments and undermine the power of the dollar. I don't understand why so many people are being taken in by the news, banking giants and company. I really don't get it. And it's not to be a conspiracy...if you don't believe me just look at history:

Even when the internet was born in 2000, they said it was all a bubble.  Not only the media, but also respected people such as Robert Metcalfe, the inventor of Ethernet. In 1995 he predicted that the following year the Internet would implode on itself, creating a "catastrophic collapse".

Which did not happen.

Then, was the price of some companies pulled up by speculators?

Well, yes, in fact in 2000 there was a collapse in the price of tech companies. Also because it was a young market (like Crypto today) and therefore very volatile. However, the underlying technology was solid, and in the long term the companies linked to this sector (such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, etc.) have raised their value to a frightening level. Making those who believed in the underlying technology (and therefore didn't give up when they saw the prices drop) filthy rich. Who has been able to identify serious and long term projects, with a real utility on the market and a clear expansion plan without giving up and remaining faithful even for years to what he believed in.

When you have this mentality, it is much more difficult to lose money compared to those who instead think to speculate and earn tomorrow. Surely among the thousands of Crypto there are bubbles. Virtual currencies that serve absolutely nothing, if not to create memes about them. Surely there are such cases, I'm not saying no. That's why I always invite everyone to do their own research!

Who instead discovers and invests in interesting projects, with a sense of existence, aware that the money invested could see them again in 5 years (if he has the misfortune to invest just before a collapse) few times will go at a loss.

Just look at the charts of the major Crypto: those who invested and held for x years, almost never lost money. Obviously, this does not mean that it cannot happen. But the probability of it happening is certainly lower, and the risk-return ratio can make it worth it.
