Over the years NFT Collections come and go. Crypto currencies come and go as well. I have always said and will still say it, only the tokens and NFT's collection with true utility will last. I stand by those words and which is why I am taking the time to write this article to share with you all a NFT Collection that I truly believe has utility worth its weight in crypto and also is really cool artwork.
The Collection is from Byron. (to be clear he has a few collections on WAX but I think of byronartset1 as the main collection)
I honestly can't remember how I stumbled upon this collection but there is a high chance it was from Publish0x or from Cryptozeug on Noise. There a lot of things going on so I am going to attempt to break it down into sections to show you why you should be involved in some capacity with his collection.

Byron has a few smart contracts setup and this is one that if you play Alien Worlds then you definitely look into. The way it works is that you need a hold a specific NFT in your WAX wallet (the same wallet that you play Alien Worlds with). Then all you have to do is mine on land 22:1 on the planet Magor.
(that image states any variety will work but you will need this one now) They cost 13 WAX.
But what do you get for mining on Magor 22:1 and holding that NFT? Well the beauty of it is that Byron and team are always releasing new events to work at. Right now what is dropping is Skull Pellet's that can be blended once you have 13 into a "Skull Flake". It is a fun mini game of sorts to play while you are mining for Trillium on Alien Worlds. There are 4 colors of pellets and each color has 4 different pellets. So there will be 12 total blends available to use the pellets on.
We currently have around 85 miners per hour and once we cross over 100 miners per hour then more NFT's will be sent out each hour. Currently every hour 5 NFT's are sent to miners randomly who mined more then 0.01 TLM in that hour. Once we get over 100 miners it will be 8 NFT's sent out each hour.

If you play Dungeon Master then you should also get to know Byron's Art Collection of NFT's. There are a lot of Byron's NFT's that are stakeable within Dungeon Master. He is also one of the cool kids who has a sidekick within the game as well.
I am not going to even attempt to list out what NFT's of his are stakeable in Dungeon Master but I will just show you a few that I have staked to give you an idea.
Now technically the 'petsofclark' NFT's are not Byron created NFT's but a collection that is a friend of the Horde and all these parts were obtained from mining in Alien Worlds on Magor 22:1 and then blended a few and staked them. Once you join da Horde you get sucked into it and can't escape. They just have so much going on all the time.

The ZickleArmy started as a way for Byron to create the NFT's he wanted to (Zickles) and use them into a game that gives them utility instead of just cool artwork. This was the first foray into gaming in the Horde. While there are still Zickles out in the wild and Byron has plans for this it currently isn't a working game.
But the beauty of that is you can still pick up some cool NFT's for this game so that if and when it finally get finished you will be ready to take on the world with your Zickle army.
That is one of my favorite Zickles because I blended it myself from Zickle parts received from a mining event on Magor 22:1. Do you see the pattern here? If you mine on Magor 22:1 you will never get bored because there is always events going on for you to work towards blends. And with low mint hunters out there (even in the Horde) you can sell your mined pieces for WAX even if you don't want to end up blending the pieces together yourself.
The Zickle Army is definitely something to keep your eyes out for because it could be something really cool when it's finished.

Byron and crew run a pretty neat and fun Discord server called "The House of the Horde". You can interact with people who love his NFT's for the artwork they are and also people who love his NFT's for their utility. He runs giveaways fairly often as well which is always fun. But besides the community and friendship and just shooting the S#it with cool people, there is the 'work' you can do in the Discord server.
There is a group of channels dedicated to "DHC" which stands for DaHordeCoin and it is it's own cryptocurrency. Once you join the Discord server you can start working in the channel. The main commands you will need to know is /work and /daily. You can /work once every hour and you will earn coins. The /daily command you can use.... yep you guessed it once a day to earn coins. The higher your streak of daily commands the more you will earn.
Once you collected enough coins you trade those coins in for DHC. You will need to purchase a Black Marketeers NFT to gain access to the channel but once you have it you will have access to the channel forever. It's a way to fend of bots really.
Type in the command !coins to see how many coins you have have then !shop to see how much the DHC costs. Follow the prompts to purchase the DHC and then someone will send that DHC to your account.
DHC Coin
We briefly talked about how to earn DHC in the last section but let's talk more about what it is and why you want it. DHC is a WAX based cryptocurrency. What you can use DHC for is for buying DHC only NFT's. Meaning there are NFT's that Byron puts out that can only be bought with DHC. To my knowledge here are the 5 NFT's that can only be bought with DHC. I am sure Byron will add more down the road but these are the one we have now.

But TPL is that the only way to get DHC? NOPE you are in luck my friends. The is a few more ways to get.
You remember the mining on Magor 22:1 from earlier? Well some of the NFT's that are given out each hour are DHC backed NFT's, they will look like this. I can confirm that the 7DHC and 13DHC have dropped in the mining events but I am not sure if the higher values are apart of that as well or not.
Once you have them you can burn them and the corresponding DHC will be sent to your WAX wallet. Which also means you can purchase these NFT's on AtomicHub here and then burn them to get DHC.
Then there is always the good old Alcor Exchange where you can exchange for DHC if you want.

There is 1 more place where you can earn DHC and that is on WAXDAO for staking various Byron NFT's located here. You are not going to be raking in the DHC here but every little bit counts!
Currently those are the 4 places where you can obtain DHC. Who knows maybe down the road you will see DHC on TacoSwap :)

There are a lot of things to love but this is one of my favorites and I am ashamed that I haven't gotten a monthly pass all 12 months this year but WAX was tight a few months. When I did have enough though I would definitely purchase a monthly subscription pass. What does the pass give you?
It gives you some sick NFT's every week airdropped to your wallet. You will get 3 NFT's airdropped to your wallet every week for the month of December. These NFT's are special and reserved for only airdropping for the monthly subscription pass so there is no other way to get them,
You can get the December pass on 4 blockchains and you will get NFT's on each blockchain you hold the pass. Now one thing to note is that these NFT's are stakeable on various farms and games listed above and if you stake the NFT then it gets removed from your WAX inventory and you will NOT get the airdrops. So do not stake the December Airdrop NFT or you will miss out.
I personally have the WAX, EOS and TEZOS subscription for December because YOLO! If you hold a Subscription pass then each time a NFT is airdropped you have a chance to get Mint #1 because the Mint #'s are randomly sent out to everyone who has a pass.
Greenhouse Game:
So this one is a new addition to the Zickle ecosystem. The general premise is that you need to purchase a Gardener NFT and Landowner NFT and then work to tend to your land to grow flowers. You need rain and sun obviously to grow plants. However you also need to till your land and buy tools.

Once you have your Gardener NFT you need to stake it here: to gain the MONARCH currency.

I would be remiss if I didn't take even a little time to just talk about the cool artwork that Byron produces. Sure using NFT's for games or for some utility is fun but let's just take some time to appreciate the artwork itself.
I could go on and on but I won't. Just give his artwork a look and I am sure you will be as impressed as I am. To me Byron isn't some blockchain nerd trying to make money by selling some bullcrap NFT's. He is an artist first that transitioned to the blockchain to sell his work and in doing so built a cool community and cool artwork with utility.

I am just a avid fan of his artwork, the community he built on Discord and just him as a decent human.
