The Safest Country in the World? (MALDIVES)
It's a great day to be in THE MALDIVES, my 136th country!
I bet you never realized how safe this country is until you watch this video :)
The Maldives has been a dream destination for both Deanna and I since we met, and we are thrilled to finally be here and witness this natural beauty with our own eyes.
The Maldives is made up of roughly 1,200 islands in the Indian Ocean, of which ~200 are inhabited by locals and an additional ~100 are exclusive private resort islands, like where we are now at Kurumba Maldives.
Chances are, if you come to this country then you'll be staying at a safe private resort (they make up nearly half of all inhabited islands) -- And you will never have to worry about safety as a tourist in the Maldives because crime on these islands is virtually unheard of.
I have not yet been to the densely populated capital of Malé, but I can imagine that it's not as dangerous as other capital cities of the world!
