Hi guys, i will try to show you some endgames you must know to held the draw at positions with pawn down.

How you can succedd the draw. King must be at short side and Rook at the long side , as long as possible to give checks from far away and when the kings chase the Rook, then the Rook can earn the pawn and draw.

Look at my draw with Stockfish 3000 rating.

The rook must cut the advance of K at 6th rank so when moves the p to  help the K , then the rook moves at 1st and gives check from far away , check check , check and draw.

A very simple but difficult position.

Black can not cut the advance of 6ht rank, so this is the plan i played in the game with 3000 rating. 

Some moves are really UNIQUE ! , if something else blacks plays, just loose. 

Again the trick is K in the short side, rook in the long side but also keeps the 8th rank so the best square is a8.
