Hello everyone, I've missed you all! During my time away, I used my free time to learn how to use X, the old Twitter, and set up an account/profile for @R0crypton (many people still call it Twitter, that was the first thing I discovered). I know this might sound strange to those who are already regular users of the platform, but I wasn't.
Since I created the account, I´ve only used it to participate in airdrops. It's been inactive since 2022, so I thought, why not create an organized profile to showcase my cartoons and make people smile when they visit? Maybe the profile will grow and I'll find a way to monetize it.
I started posting and promoting it on CoinpayU and Viefaucet, even knowing that the views come from PTC campaigns and may contain bots. Some people liked it and subscribed.
Now, let's get to what I found very interesting. X´s algorithm seems to work really well if you leave relevant comments... I mean, imagine a trending post with 3 million views that was posted about 4 or 5 hours ago. You use a meme you created that's practically a parody of the post; people will see those impressions count as views.
I tried this myself a few days ago when Marvel announced who would be playing Rogue. The post already had 8 hours and 6 million views. I commented with that parody of Rogue and the fried fish, and I got 20,000 views.
But be careful with this strategy; you might end up being seen as spam, so the comments have to be relevant to the main post.
Another aspect is that it's very clear there that people with more money clearly have far more advantages. Verified users have an absurd weight against unverified users; it's as if they sell their rank so your response gets there first (I stopped to think about it and realized that's how it is everywhere, right?). However, official monetization doesn't seem to be available in Brazil; I didn't find it in the list of countries, and I can't boost posts because it doesn't accept credit cards, or sometimes it gives some kind of error... maybe there's a way, I need to study the metrics and boosting strategies of X more.
