A while ago I heard a term, simple yet impactful, perhaps because my vision of extra income was still very limited; I thought it would be easy... How wrong I was!... The term was "Extra income = extra work!" And how much work! My God!
However, one thing nobody talks about is how much we learn along the way, the realization that income only comes from diciplined effort, whether physical or digital. In the case of digital, we always need to be chasing the algorithm, and this requires creativity to develop those so-called "evergreen" content so we don't end up living only for fleeting moments, as is the case with news. Obviously, there are people who do very well with news articles, but they are usually people who work very hard, having to always be informed about the latest trends and events.
So we realize that one way or another, the watchword will always be "work" on the added value that will bring a fair return, and sometimes,it take time to figure out exactly what that value is and how to build it into or content.
ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT EXTRA INCOME EQUALS EXTRA WORK!
Once we understand this, we can start charting a path with more confidence, knowing that it won't be easy, and that we will inevitably have to learn new skills...
I'd like to end this disclaimer about extra income with an encouragement... "Have you learned anything new today about your niche? Any trends, new followers, responded to comments, sought visibility, or are you just waiting for it to fall from the sky? Or, in terms of physical extra income, doing some yard work, washing cars, walking dogs, doing food deliveries by bicycle... we could spend hours talking about opportunities, and I soon realize that opportunity=work!
