No quería dejar pasar la oportunidad de hablar un poco sobre "Snowpiercer", que podemos encontrar en tres formatos diferentes: película, serie y cómic. Sobre el cómic no puedo opinar ya que no lo he leído, pero tanto la película como la serie (1° temporada) si que las he visto. Como siempre, primero un resumen:

Corre el año 2031, y desde hace 7, los únicos supervivientes de la tierra se encuentran en un tren cuyo motor eterno los mantiene en constante movimiento circular.   La tierra se encuentra completamente helada, con temperaturas exteriores por debajo de los 100 grados bajo cero, situación provocada gracias a un fallo al intentar controlar el cambio climático.   En el tren conviven, como en cualquier sociedad, gente de todos las capas sociales,  y todos ellos se enfrentarán a una situación de cambio...   La película es del año 2.013 y está dirigida por Bong Joon-ho y protagonizada por Chris Evans en el papel de Curtis, que interpreta a uno de los "colistas", la gente que vive en peores condiciones en la cola del tren, mientras en los vagones del principio, los pertenecientes a primera clase viven con todo tipo de lujos.

I did not want to miss the opportunity to talk a little about "Snowpiercer", which we can find in three different formats: film, series and comic. I can't comment on the comic since I haven't read it, but both the film and the series (1st season) have seen them. As always, first a summary:

It is the year 2031, and for 7 years now, the only survivors on earth have been in a train whose eternal motor keeps them in constant circular motion.

The land is completely frozen, with outside temperatures below 100 degrees below zero, a situation caused by a failure to control climate change.

People from all social classes coexist on the train, as in any society, and all of them will face a situation of change ...

The film is from the year 2013 and is directed by Bong Joon-ho and starring Chris Evans in the role of Curtis, who plays one of the "colistas", the people who live in worse conditions in the queue of the train, while in the wagons of the beginning, those belonging to the first class live in all kinds of luxuries.

Cartel de la serie, emitida en Netflix

La serie, por otra parte, del año 2.020, es de producción norteamericana, y ha sido emitida en Netflix, al igual que la película. De momento, solo está disponible (con fecha 20/10/2020) la primera temporada con un total de 10 capítulos.    Aunque, curiosamente, son 7 los años que separan la película de la serie, y quizás por que vi la película y seguidamente la primera temporada de la serie, se me hizo un poco raro, sobre todo por las diferencias de guion. Entiendo que la serie la tuvieran que extender para tener un número de capítulos decente, pero a mi parecer se desviaron demasiado de la película.   Que estamos ante una serie de ficción es obvio, pero bajo mi punto de vista deberían haber cuidado algunos detalles, como por ejemplo los tamaños de los vagones, que en algunas escenas parecen del tamaño de una piscina olímpica, mientras que en otros son angostos y estrechos. Imagino que esto lo habrán hecho así para dejar claro que a mayor nivel social, mas espacio disponible.   La serie, sobre todo los últimos 5 capítulos me parecen bastante mejor que los primeros. En estos capítulos de la mitad final, la acción en algunos casos es trepidante, aunque también hay alguna que otra fantasmada que te deja con cara de poker.    El final de la temporada es un poco fantasmada, pero teniendo en cuenta en toda la historia en si lo es, habrá que esperar la segunda temporada para ver como se van desarrollando los acontecimientos.  

The series, on the other hand, from the year 2.020, is of North American production, and has been broadcast on Netflix, like the film. At the moment, only the first season with a total of 10 episodes is available (dated 10/20/2020).

Although, curiously, there are 7 years that separate the film from the series, and perhaps because I saw the film and then the first season of the series, it seemed a bit strange, especially because of the differences in the script. I understand that the series had to be extended to have a decent number of chapters, but in my opinion they deviated too much from the film.

That we are facing a fictional series is obvious, but from my point of view they must have taken care of some details, such as the sizes of the wagons, which in some scenes seem the size of an Olympic-size swimming pool, while in others they are narrow and narrow. I imagine they have done this like this to make it clear that the higher the social level, the more space available.

The series, especially the last 5 chapters seem much better than the first ones. In these chapters of the final half, the action in some cases is frenetic, although there is also the occasional ghost that leaves you with a poker face.

The end of the season is a bit haunted, but taking into account the whole story itself, we will have to wait for the second season to see how events unfold.
