There seems to be all sorts of rumors out there surrounding Craig Wright...

If you haven't heard, there was recently a court announcement as it relates to him and the Dave Kleiman Estate.

I won't go into all the details here, but more about it can be found here:

Some of the rumors are as follows...

People are speculating that he will have to sell BSV to raise capital for the ruling, and people are speculating that Kleiman will have to sell $2 billion worth of BTC to pay estate taxes, and people are also speculating that Wright will never have access to those coins at all.

 The story:

Basically, the ruling sounds like Wright will have to turn over half of the mined coins the original Satoshi's mined.

Supposedly that is around 1.1 million bitcoin.

Wright alleges that he is unable to access these coins as roughly 800k of them were locked in a trust that he will not have access to until mid January of 2020.

Ironically, the judge doesn't seem to believe much of this.

Either way, it sounds like if Wright has access to these coins at any point, he owes half of them to the Kleiman Estate.

My thoughts:

If these coins do exist, and if they are eventually accessible, it would likely be bad news for bitcoin and crypto as such a large amount of supply coming onto the market would undoubtedly drive prices lower.

The market had largely considered these coins lost.

However, I doubt these coins are ever accessible at this point, but we will find out for sure in about 5 months or so.
