Now that the Twitter deal has finally concluded, a massive company shake-up seems to be underway. From layoffs to blue tick subscriptions, there's no end in sight from the constant stream of controversial news out of the "freed" blue bird. There are even speculation on the deal's implications to crypto.
But the biggest news is yet to come.
Elon Musk has brought in his crack team of engineers from Tesla to study all the technical details under the hood of Twitter. Some might recall a big dispute that led Elon to try to backtrack on the deal. -bots and fake accounts. Elon was not satisfied with the pertinent company information provided by the old team at Twitter. In an interview, Elon intimated how the Twitter guys thought the raw details would not be understandable to outsiders and that he should just rely on their analysis. Effectively saying: Trust us. We know what we're doing. To which Elon's reaction is: It can't be that hard. This isn't rocket science.
It would not be surprising then if he vindicates himself by publicly announcing their findings which could detail the true magnitude of the problems he suspected all along including the algorithm that promotes hate, extremism, and social divisiveness.
Twitter has since stopped trading in the public markets after the deal finalized so there won't be much effect on its valuations. But other publicly listed social media companies are experiencing the same issues. And as if they are not being hammered down enough together with almost all other publicly traded companies especially in the tech sector, this potential news could send their stock spiraling down even further to newer and newer all time lows.
As implied, if it is happening at Twitter, it's probably happening everywhere else. But everywhere else does not have Elon Musk who is not in denial and is focused on resolving the issues while making profits along the way. As such, this could be one of the fastest and biggest turnaround stories in corporate history when Twitter is soon enough relisted in the stock market. With a cohort of investors who believe in the mission and is convinced of the company direction and progress towards it, the sky is the limit. Just look at TSLA.
