As I write this text, the Venezuelan people are voting for the newest president "or not".
The current president Nicolás Maduro has been in power for 11 years as heir to the regime known as "Chavismo" and has brought many controversies with his "democracy".

We all know that the Venezuelan people have been going through a very difficult time. Here in Brazil, we have more than 500,000 immigrants from Venezuela since the American embargoes against Venezuela in the last election threw Venezuela into poverty. Today, the country has the lowest minimum wage in the world, despite being the country with the largest amount of oil in its territory in the world. This is a painful contrast.
I have been following the news and we already know that the young voters of the opposition to Nicolás Maduro are packing their bags at the borders of Brazil to go in search of a better life if Nicolás Maduro "wins" the election again.
The election will probably have a result by the time this text is posted tonight, despite concerns that if the current government loses, it will hand over its position peacefully.
I am watching right now and the reporters from VPItv say that the elections are going peacefully:

The main opposition candidate is called Edmundo González, with a great chance of winning this historic election, according to electoral polls. Nominated by the force called María Corina Machado who was barred from running due to the allegation of lack of documents, however she had 90% approval from the people in the primaries

At that moment I went looking for a poll chart and you can't imagine how difficult it was to find a current chart, not to mention the number of online news sources that suddenly go offline. Furthermore, it is estimated that more than 5.4 million Venezuelans have left their country so far and only 68 thousand are eligible to vote...

Many strange and unanswered things are happening, thus showing the uncertainty of this government that currently operates in Venezuela.
I wish my Venezuelan friends the best of luck and may true democracy be established.
