I honestly don't know what to write on Sunday night. Honestly, I almost never have any ideas on Sunday night, precisely because one thought consumes my head: "tomorrow is Monday and the rat race starts turning again" in the infernal heat that we have here in Brazil, my routine of climbing 14 floors up the stairs to plaster the walls of apartments by the sea where I was never allowed to go in after it was finished, at least to see what it looks like after it was finished. That's it: when you've finished the job, leave. You'll only be welcome if you're stacking blocks, carrying materials, sweating a lot to show off your skills. If everything is ready, the supervisor locks the doors with a key and we go to another job. After all, he's right. We're there to work hard.

  Do you think there's meritocracy in this field? There may even be two positions, from assistant to professional. When you become a professional, you'll definitely earn more, but you'll also be charged much more and you'll work much harder, especially if it's based on production. They always impose goals.

  Up until now, I had been working until Saturdays and some Sundays, but enough is enough. I can't do this anymore. My head hurts from the confusion of knowing that I will spend days until I can write, draw or even study some way to earn extra income. I don't think I earn badly. In fact, I think I earn well compared to salaries in other sectors. But my complaint is that my life is practically based on this. I leave at 6:00 and come back at 17:30, exhausted. So tired that all I want to do is take a shower, eat and sleep. The next day, I will continue to spin the rat race until the day I "rest in peace" or not. 

  I still have something to be proud of. I never stop learning. I love learning and I fight hard to learn how to earn money in ways other than construction. That's where the discrepancies arise. In construction, my money comes from a single person, so I have the privilege of working alone without anyone bothering me or having to convince someone of something all the time. Do you understand? Just like salespeople.

  I know that in the content creation business we depend on others, likes, engagement, followers, views, and I'm not very communicative personally, so of course my work in construction has its "pros" but the "con" is that it's not scalable like content creation, and also the infernal heat is making my production go down.

    But that's it, I just wanted to point out that on Sundays I almost never know what to write.
