For those who don't know, "Bolsa Família" is a program created to help those living in poverty in Brazil. The goal is to provide basic needs, such as food, health, and education. However, when this money ends up in betting shops, it is not fulfilling its purpose. Worse still, many of these people go into debt trying to recover what they lost.
In view of this, the Brazilian government has been moving the Ministry of Social Development against these acts, planning ways to prevent the benefit from being used for this purpose. The use of Pix for betting may be blocked for those who receive "Bolsa Família" and betting shops may even be banned in Brazil if no action is taken to solve the problem of gambling addiction. The problem is that gambling is addictive and designed to trap people.
They bet, lose, and then try again, thinking they'll win next time. Meanwhile, the money that should have paid for food or medicine is all gone. Of course, not everyone who receives Bolsa Família does this, but the situation is serious enough to raise an alarm.
