Forex, VPS: WTF is this?

By GoInvest | Discovercryptowithmike | 6 Jan 2021

Hi guys, today I wanna talk you about VPS and Forex, showing you exactly what a VPS is :) That's just for fun so, if I'm saying something wrong, just leave a comment so I can correct it :) Enjoy!

VPS: what is a virtual server

Before understanding what a virtual server and a Forex VPS is, you need to understand the concept of the Forex (foreign exchange) market, or rather the currency market. It is a decentralized financial market where brokers and speculators trade currencies with each other. It is one of the most important markets in the world where exchanges exceed 5000 billion dollars daily. Brokers act as intermediaries providing 24-hour access to the interbank market so that traders can make transactions in the forex market.
In order to trade in the forex market, however, one must keep an eye on the values of each currency. This requires a computer that can work all day and provide a stable connection, especially for automated trading processes.
To overcome this problem, you can resort to the use of a virtual server or VPS. The Virtual Private Server is nothing more than a virtual machine based on a physical server. Major hosting companies, therefore, offer physical servers that host multiple VPSs simultaneously, each separate from the other. Each VPS is therefore customized and offers different features and capabilities, for example of RAM and Hard Disk, which is why having a virtual server is convenient for many users who manage blog sites and e-commerce. Of course, a VPS can also be used to make trades with cryptocurrencies, but that's another topic that I won't cover now :)

Features of a virtual server

It must first be said that a VPS is a completely personal server suitable for those who know how to change its settings since virtual servers offer full root access. But how exactly does it work?
A VPS is basically a system that takes advantage of virtualization, which is that process that makes the hardware components of any device abstract so that they can be used by other software in the form of a virtual resource. Simply put, those who have physical servers, i.e. hosting companies, offer each user the opportunity to take advantage of their functionality in a distinct and customized way.
The main characteristics to keep an eye on are obviously the CPU and RAM of a VPS.  The greater our needs, the greater the number of physical CPUs we'll need since CPU capacities are divided into virtual n-processors. The same goes for RAM, which allows you to keep your websites stable, especially when the traffic volume is high.
Bandwidth, on the other hand, is worth considering because it allows you to support multiple requests at once, while storage, or storage capacity, is what provides us with the space we need for our site. Obviously, the greater our storage, the greater the amount of content we can insert.
A virtual server also allows the choice of software, Windows, or Linux depending on your needs. The user often has total access to the root and has in some cases total control over the virtual machine, as happens with dedicated servers. The VPS is in fact seen as a middle ground between a dedicated server and a shared server.

Benefits of VPS

The first thing you notice when you proceed to purchase a virtual server is the price: definitely cheaper than a dedicated server, but with many more features than a shared server. Moreover, a virtual server is customizable to extreme levels since each VPS acts in a distinct and separate way.
The fact that each virtual server is independent guarantees a higher level of security: in fact, any malware infection or configuration error will only affect the system involved and not the entire number of virtual systems.
VPSs are also scalable, meaning that you can upgrade the resources you initially set up. This is a feature that distinguishes virtual servers, allowing you to solve unexpected problems, such as a spike in traffic on your site.
Finally, to get back to the security aspect, each VPS is hosted by a hypervisor, or virtual machine monitor, which makes the hardware resources of a physical server virtual, dividing them among all connected users. Consequently, everyone accesses and operates on the same machine, enjoying a 100% protected and safe environment as when using a dedicated server which, as mentioned above, would have much higher costs.

The VPS

Virtual servers, however, are not only used to keep your websites, blogs, or e-commerce connected. They are in fact used to operate more in the Forex market. Forex trading usually involves the installation of a trading platform, which allows you to trade in the currency market 24 hours a day. However, installing such platforms on your PC may cause several slowdowns due to the large CPU and RAM capacity required, especially when implementing automated market strategies.
Anyhoo, the installation problem can be solved with a Forex VPS: a remote computer accessible from anywhere in the world and from any connected device. This solution is adopted by traders who use automated strategies. In this way, traders keep their strategy constantly connected. Running your computer 24 hours a day rather than buying a VPS would be easy, but would lead to several problems including power surges, sudden shutdowns, connection problems, operating system crashes, and of course energy consumption. However, with a Forex VPS, you don't have to keep your computer on and connected all the time, but you will use the resources of a remote device already set up and configured for Forex Trading.

So guys, do you use any convenient VPS with legit costs? Do you find them suitable for your needs? Just show me some here in the comments if you want :)
