Most, if not all of you now have heard of, or used AI. It is in our everyday lives. From algorithms that use ML tech to learn your habits, to LLM's that have reached levels that are nearly unimaginable. We use them without even knowing.
What about those of us who enjoy peeking behind the curtains and seeing how this technology is evolving faster than any other revolution since the advent of the internet itself.
Well, here I will show you some of the more interesting ways AI has flourished. I'll show you the tools that make this time, we currently live in, so appealing & captivating.
ChatGPT
By far the most talked about AI tool that even your own grandmother might know of, is OpenAI's ChatGPT. It took the world by storm a few years back. Sure, we were all dipping our toes into the pool of Machine Learning, but it wasn't until OpenAI released their first version of ChatGPT tot the public that we were fully submerged into the feverish pool of AI.
Now, we finally had a chatbot that would allow us to converse with it like we could a human. Sure, it had its issues back then, and still does; but the wonder that it had sparked within the collective zeitgeist was nothing less than earth-shaking.
To this day, years later, it is used as a gold standard (of sorts, I have my own opinions on this) and every other LLM that has come along has been compared against it as a baseline. Think of it as how altcoins are compared against BTC as the baseline (well, in the beginning of cryptocurrency anyway).
Much like BTC, ChatGPT has evolved and grown. Now we have many other LLM's. Some are arguably even better than ChatGPT.
Every day we are seeing advances in AI. Is it only a matter of time before we cross the threshold and enter the Singularity? Maybe. I would hope so, but if it is to happen, I think it may be far down the line.
List Of LLM/AI/Tools You May Find Interesting
Now that we have talked a little about ChatGPT, let me show you some of the more interesting tools and resources that I have collected.
Meta's LLaMA: Meta, the parent company of Facebook, were kind enough (unlike OpenAI) to release their model to the public. It is open source and is just as good as ChatGPT (in my humble opinion). Since they released the first version, it has grown to dominate the LLM open source world for chatting and information. Here are some awesome resources I think you'll find fascinating.
- Text Generation WebUI
- LLaMA File (Distribute and run LLMs with a single file)
- LocalAI (Run LLM's Locally!)*
- Perplexica
- Generative AI Guide
- ML For Beginners Free Course
- 100 Days Of ML Code
- AI For Beginners(Microsoft Course, Free!)
- OpenBB Terminal
- Deep Learning Awesome List
- GPT4All(Run LLM's Anywhere!)
- Leaked GPT Prompts
- GPT Engineer (Specify what you want it to build, the AI asks for clarification, and then builds it.)
- GPT Pilot (The first real AI Dev (According to the repo))
- Tabby(Self hosted AI coding assistant)
- Adrenaline(Instant answers to any programming question)
- Interfaces (Code generation tools for GoLang)
There are many others out there. Let me know if you would like anything specific! Have fun and use these responsibly.
