I can’t say that YouTube is only great for facilitating brainrot. In the case of my son, it has ignited his ambition.
He must have watched one too many videos on YouTubers converting their properties into makeshift zoos or something. The other day, he declared that he wants to be the owner of a zoo.
Not a zookeeper, mind you. But the owner.
Woah, this man aspires to be in a different league.
Incidentally, he asked me about the concept of investing today. Not sure if he has drawn a link between making his money grow and financing his zoo, but his absorption from YouTubers is stupendous!
Back on track. He is not an all-talk-no-action kinda guy because he borrowed two books on being a zoologist and one book on embarking on a job search from the library. Not only that, he has been faithfully asking me to read aloud 1-2 pages from one book.
I found it endearing that he is taking concrete steps to take his dream seriously. I hope his go-getting spirits don’t get demolished by our cookie-cutter education system
